NFL Week 14 Power Rankings

Based on Cleat Street’s EPA model, with Drew Brees returning down the home stretch, we have a new #1 team in the NFL. While there is no guarantee that he plays this week against the Eagles, this purpose of the power rankings is to be forward-looking, so we have included him in our model when assessing the New Orleans Saints, our new #1 team:

Offense Power Rankings

The Cleveland Browns offense actually dropped 5 spots in our offensive EPA despite scoring 41 points last weekend against the Tennessee Titans. Our model heavily penalized them for only putting up 3 points after halftime against a weak Titans defense:



Defense Power Rankings

Similarly, our model frowns upon any team that allows any sort of success to the Chicago Bears offense. If you allow 30 points to the Chicago Bears offense, it’s going to hurt your ranking, as the Lions drop to last:
